If you're not a Software Promotion/Internet Marketing company, I'm sorry...just ignore this. Again, I'm not trying to sell anything - just hunting around looking for the company that can give me the best deal in what I need. Dear Sirs... My name is Shawn Halfpenny, author of a software package called ListMate Pro - a fairly popular email list management package (www.listmate.com). Basically, I'm looking for a good internet marketing company that can do some promotion for my software to boost my sales. Here's what I would like: - Submission of my software to the major software download sites (download.com, etc.) - Submission of my ad to any opt-in mailing lists that you might have. - Announcement of my software to appropriate newsgroups. - Classified ad postings. - FFA postings. - Search engine submission, with mirror page submission. - Any other effective promotional techniques you can think of that I've left out. Please list package deal price for all the services together, and also individual prices for each service. One more thing - have you ever heard of this "HyperTracker" thing? (www.hypertracker.com). It's supposed to be great in tracking the effectiveness of your various ad campaigns - which are pulling, which aren't. I bought an autoresponder from Getresponse.com and they gave me a free one of these things - I suppose I might as well utilize it. Judging from the explantion of it on the website, it looks like it requires that a unique HyperTracker-generated URL is used as the link to my software in each of the ad campaigns I have. So I would need for you to be able to incorporate these unique HyperTracker URLs in any advertising you do for me. Please note - this same message is going out to several hundred other internet marketing companies, so I would hope you come across with your best offer, otherwise I will just look elsewhere. Also, I have finally setup and done some homework on GNOME/GTk/Glade/XML and am ready to begin work on the the GTk GUI front end for Vanilla config files. Also I recall someone was working on a GtK GUI wrapper for editing netrekrc file in Cow3 client. IIRC there was also talk of porting Cow3 to GNOME completely? So I get some feedback on these 3 particular issues and specificaly who is working on what and their status. I am newer to development than everyone else here so I am starting out small on just the GTk GUI from end for Vanilla. Also I am wonderfing if anyone uses IRC or some instant messenger program if I am working on something and wanted dynamic feedback/discussion? Also, did I mention #netrek on irc.openprojects.net is where some of the developers hang out? -- James Cameron mailto:quozl@us.netrek.org http://quozl.netrek.org/ From vanillatrek at yahoo.com Thu Jan 24 05:31:03 2002 From: vanillatrek at yahoo.com (Vanilla Netrek) Date: Wed Jan 12 00:52:59 2005 Subject: [Vanilla List] GTk GUI tasks: CVS, discussion, & status ? Message-ID: <20020124113103.5056.qmail@web21102.mail.yahoo.com> Can someone tell me how to refresh my Vanilla tree via CVS so I make sure I have all the latest commits? Also, I have finally setup and done some homework on GNOME/GTk/Glade/XML and am ready to begin work on the GTk GUI front end for Vanilla config files. Also I recall someone was working on a GtK GUI wrapper for editing netrekrc files in Cow3 client. IIRC there was also talk of porting Cow3 to GNOME completely? So I get some feedback on these 3 particular issues and specificaly who is working on what and their status. I am newer to development than everyone else here so Iam starting out small on just the GTk GUI from end for Vanilla. Also I am wondering if anyone uses IRC or some instant messenger program; if I am working on something and wanted some dynamic feedback/ discussion? Zach, Please do a little research on your own before asking basic questions that can be answered by RTFM. Start by looking at the "CVS Bubbles" page: http://www.loria.fr/~molli/cvs-index.html. http://vanilla.netrek.org/ lists an IRC channel for netrek developers. -Jeff From reply at seekercenter.net Mon Jan 7 13:12:23 2002 From: reply at seekercenter.net (Vanessa Lintner) Date: Wed Jan 12 00:53:34 2005 Subject: [META] I have visited METASERVER.US.NETREK.ORG:1080 and noticed that ...
