What about all the patches lost when the real-time CVS was taken down? Wasn't the CVS reposity on real-time going to go back up? Or at least move the CVS repository over to sf.net the correct way? Do you have any? As far as I know, my working directory contained every change. Whenever a commit to real-time CVS was made, I'd do an update on my home system and sometimes on continuum. So I've merged again all the changes. > Wasn't the CVS reposity on real-time going to go back up? As far as I know that hasn't happened yet. Bob? > Or at least move the CVS repository over to sf.net the correct way? Work has continued since the simple move. I'm not so sure the history is essential, especially if it isn't obtainable or involves a lot of work to merge. -- James Cameron mailto:quozl@us.netrek.org http://quozl.netrek.org/ From netrek at gmail.com Tue Oct 11 04:42:36 2005 From: netrek at gmail.com (Zach) Date: Tue Oct 11 04:42:50 2005 Subject: [netrek-dev] netrek-server-vanilla-2.10.1 released In-Reply-To: <20051011061849.GA18378@us.netrek.org> References: <20050930093801.GA16569@us.netrek.org> <20051011061849.GA18378@us.netrek.org> Message-ID: How can I check out the latest Vanilla from CVS? The cvs instructions are reasonably clear about how to do an anonymous checkout, or how to use your sourceforge login to do a checkout over ssh, you can find them on the website here. http://sf.net/projects/netrek/ substitute 'server' for 'modulename', or, if you don't mind pulling all the sources for the clients as well, substitute the single '.' to check out all modules in the netrek repository. -- Stephen Thorne Development Engineer From quozl at us.netrek.org Tue Oct 11 17:29:39 2005 From: quozl at us.netrek.org (James Cameron) Date: Tue Oct 11 17:31:00 2005 Subject: [netrek-dev] netrek-server-vanilla-2.10.1 released In-Reply-To: References: <20050930093801.GA16569@us.netrek.org> <20051011061849.GA18378@us.netrek.org> Message-ID: <20051011222939.GC18378@us.netrek.org> On Tue, Oct 11, 2005 at 05:42:36AM -0400, Zach wrote: > How can I check out the latest Vanilla from CVS? > What is the full path and what user and password do I use? Just like any other SourceForge hosted project ... http://sourceforge.net/projects/netrek click on CVS http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=968 choose whether you wish to use anonymous or developer access check out the module server/Vanilla As you have a SourceForge account (zinpgh) you can use either anonymous or developer access through an SSH connection. It's not for me to explain, SourceForge does such a good job explaining. -- James Cameron mailto:quozl@us.netrek.org http://quozl.netrek.org/
