Just check the "Install Everything" box on a RedHat 6.2 install and you
have their install scheme. This is how it was partitioned:

[tomc at virgo tomc]$ df
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda6 1035660 104884 878168 11% /
/dev/sda3 23333 5998 16131 27% /boot
/dev/sda8 521748 360 494884 0% /tmp
/dev/sda5 2071384 1346788 619372 68% /usr
/dev/sda10 61361284 20298384 37945892 35% /usr2
/dev/sda9 256667 80107 163308 33% /var
/dev/sda2 4134932 47884 3877000 1% /home

I would have configured a bigger /var partition, but it has worked so far.

Sounds like a reformat & reinstall would be a pain with making sure you
have the PERC drivers around during the install. But then again I can't
really comment on this since I didn't do it. It might actually have been
easy...
