Which one were you trying to compile (sparc, sparc64, sparcv9)? Sparc seems to implicitly mean 32-bit Sparcs in this particular context. Sparc64 is, well, 64-bit Sparcs. Sparcv9 - you got me. "An Ultra" could mean any ultra. Is it an Ultra 1, 2, 5, 10, 60, or 80? Ultra 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s are 32-bit. The rest are 64-bit, IIRC.
