Actually the BIG difference between 370DLx and 370DE6 is that the 370DLx boards have no AGP slot. The other choice is the PIIIDMx series. They are very similar, except 1) They have Intel i840 chipset 2) That i840 gives the boards UDMA66 IDE vs. 370DLx's UDMA33 3) They have Slot 1 connectors 4) Seem to be a bit cheaper and can be more easily found Hmmm. PIIIDM6 might be the way to go. Thanks to all for the pointers so far. Seems like the 370DL3 is much more attainable. AFAICT, the only difference between the 370DL3 and 370DE6 is that the 370DL3 can take 4 GB of ECC Ram... SuperMicro makes surpersweet boards, IMHO. How do their dual flip-chip boards perform? I know that people are having difficulties getting Quake 3 and other closed-source "made with SMP in mind" programs to work on boards from other makers (ABIT, Tyan, MIS, etc).
