I have a server -- AMD K6-2 400 with 96MB RAM and Mandrake 7.1 -- on which I would like to install Open SSH 2.2.0. I know all of the packages that are necessary to get SSH going. The problem: OpenSSH-server-2.2.0p1 requires OpenSSH-2.2.0p1 be installed. OpenSSH-2.2.0p1, however, will not install unless rpmlib(versioned dependencies 3.0.3-1 or older is installed). My Mandrake install already has 3.0.4 installed but still will not let the rpmlib be installed. Aside from going to a differnet piece of software for encryption, how does one get around this impass? Is is wise to uninstall rpmlib 3.0.4 and then install the older 3.0.3? Any assistance you can provide is appreciated. Thank you. ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://home.netscape.com/webmail --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: tclug-list-unsubscribe at mn-linux.org For additional commands, e-mail: tclug-list-help at mn-linux.org
