My $0.02: I've also like Mandrake 7.x and have it installed on most of my machines. The installation program has a few quirks, and it can be a disk pig, but I like some of the default settings and features. Mandrake 7.1's ability to create and install onto a ReiserFS partition is especially convenient for laptops, which tend to be rebooted relatively frequently. However, I'm tempted to switch my server machines over to Debian Potato some day, now that it includes 2.2 kernel support. (I've been too busy/lazy to mess around with it until installation ISOs became easily available) Although Slackware was once my favorite, I haven't used it for years...
