I'm working to set up m68k Linux (Debian) on a Macintosh SE/30. The SE/30 is stock, except for 32MB of RAM and an external 1GB drive. When I insert the "rescue.bin" boot floppy, the system starts to boot from the floppy, does a couple of seeks, then gives up and starts booting from the internal hard drive. I have written two different floppies, both of which verified fine. Both floppies are producing the same results. I have also tried both floppies on different SE/30s (I have two). Same results. My conclusion is that Debian sucks - JUST KIDDING :) Anyone have this distro working? PS what is meant by a Mach Kernel? Is that like a Mock Turtle?
