I have reviewed the bug list at OpenOffice.org, and some users (like myself) cannot get the setup file to execute properly on OO638c or SO6 beta. From: $ ./setup it returns with this response: $ glibc 2.2.4 and ends. I currently run Mandrake 8.1, KDE 2.2.2, glibc 2.2.4, XFree 4.1.0 with nvidia card and drivers. I'm wondering if anyone has successfully installed either office package with a similar setup. TIA...
