I dealt with that by creating a symlink named 'mailman' in
/usr/share/apache/images/ which points at /usr/doc/mailman/images/.  This
way, the existing links to http://host/images/mailman/* work as-is.

Bring up exim.conf in your editor of choice and do a search for
"system_aliases".  At the end of the block, you should see

#  user = list
# Uncomment the above line if you are running smartlist

Uncomment the "user = list" line.  (If it's not there, add it.)
