No!  Use Aterm, http://aterm.sourceforge.net/, it's based on rxvt and uses
much less memory.  Back when I used Eterm, each one was taking about 3MB of
memory.  Aterm takes about 1.6 and works the same.  Install aterm and just
add these lines or something similar to you .Xdefaults file:

aterm*visualBell: false
aterm*font:     fixed
aterm*transparent:      true
aterm*shading:  50
aterm*background:       black
aterm*foreground:       white
