If your distribution uses pump, the essentially equivalent command would
be `/sbin/pump --status'.  Other information can be obtained from
`/sbin/ifconfig'.

Release and renew are fairly obvious with pump, just use the `--release'
or `--renew' arguments.

I'm not using a system with dhcpcd right now (the other common DHCP
client), so I don't know what the commands for that are.  Probably just
look at the man page if you have that (man dhcpcd)
