I'd look at the output of `ifconfig ppp0' and try pinging the local and
remote addresses, then run `route -n' to look at the routing table and
ping a few more addresses.  Look at the contents of /etc/resolv.conf and
see if nameservers were added properly.  `traceroute -n 128.101.101.101'
and see if it goes anywhere..
