Granted. And even after I grant many other good points. Great points
even, that still leaves a *NIX with a shiny GUI.

Linux with KDE 3 = *NIX (clone) with a shiny GUI. And if I _really_ want
that Aqua theme I can get that too.

Maybe I am short sighted, but if I were to spend 2000 USD on a new box
I'd rather get kick ass components. And I can factor in the kost of the
CrossOver plug-in for running MSFT Office.

I guess it is a trade-off. On one hand you get an GUI that hangs less
than KDE 3, on the other, you aren't forced to upgrade your hardware as
often if you want the latest and the greatest.
