Hey,

Just my 2 cents as well, Suse Pro 9.0 is a pretty great thing.  Yast2 is a 
very easy way to manage your installed software and YOU keeps you up to 
date.  I can understand the desire to compile all your software from 
source, but I trust SUSE corporate enough to install their updates off the 
internet.  It's quite easy to schedule to do itself, or to have a 
unexperienced user do it.  I feel it's a bit easier then RedHat's update 
network.  Konqueror (I use Moz mostly anyway) knows when you're 
downloading a RPM and it gives you a one click installation of the 
program through Yast2.  Just like Irix and it's tardist files.
