It is possible that they are using ActiveX on their site. Probably written with Visual Interdev design time controls. If thats the case then only IE browsers would work on this site. There could also be a lot of IE only javascript code that can't execute so it errors out and can't figure out what your browser is. Either way they really should have better browser detection, both of these are really lousy, and probably very insecure. Design time controls in Visual Interdev open up way more information than I would ever want on a website.
