After perusing the perldoc for Template, it looks like there aren't any "print" or "code" methods for the Template module, unless you're doing some nonstandard extension of the module. I'd suggest you consult with folks on comp.lang.perl.misc (don asbestos suit first, please), or ask on perlmonks.org, or ask the local perlmongers group.
