I did an strace on spamassassin itself as the spamd user, no spamc/spamd involved, it too behaves the same. There is a link to the strace file on my website: http://www.netbits.us/strace.txt It's long, but if you scroll to the very botton you can see where it sits for 4-5 minutes and does nothing. I'm not very proficient with strace (otherwise the idea to use it would have been my own!) so I'm not sure how to interpret the SIGWINCH stuff. Any thoughts?
