I have been using hdparm on Linux for some time now, and I find it usefull, but it would be alot more usefull if I could run some sort of a hdparm clone on my FreeBSD server to idle rarely-active disks (to prevent overheating). Does anyone know how to do this? Basically, I am trying to idle disks on a FreeBSD system, anyone know how? I have searched and searched, but cannot find anything but APM for FreeBSD laptop setups.
