I understand your point, but I must say I actually liked how the beer meetings moved around. It was nice to visit the different drinking establishments and put some variety into life. I think it was only fair to move around so folks from different areas could attend a beer meeting in their neighborhood at least some of the time. Moving the location eliminated transportation issues for some and, allowed others to make it to a meeting otherwise impossible. Say you worked in Woodbury and the beer meeting was in Minnetonka; it's highly unlikely you'd be able to make it across town in time to attend. I always thought it was kind of "the beer meeting is going to be at <location> on <date/time>. If you can make it great, if not see you at another one." The reason I haven't been to many in recent times is mainly financial. No job == no money == no beer :( When I get working again, I would plan to attend when I could. I enjoyed the beer meetings. It was nice to unplug for a while and socialize with others. I miss them. -- scot _______________________________________________ TCLUG Mailing List - Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Help beta test TCLUG's potential new home: http://plone.mn-linux.org Got pictures for TCLUG?
