Dell is actually pretty good about putting information on its support web site. Go to http://support.dell.com and enter your service tag. You can then view the detailed information on what the system originally shipped with and also gives you some tools to generate the current configuration. Given the service tag number, you can also download the drivers for it. I don't believe that the system needs to be under any sort of warranty for this.
