Thank you *all* for your feed back on Perl. I have to take a class in it no choice. I do prefer Python __import_this__ ! But I can see how you could easily get to like Perl as well. I can safely say I don't think I will ever put any Perl code into production if I can help it. I would agree with standards and best practices. Also documenting the code properly. I am going to stick to python for my web work as much as possible. Does anyone else use ipython ? My second comment is about this list. I love it. I have a sense of humor, and I do so enjoy the flame wars. They crack me up. I also take religion or lack there of lightly. When I post to the lug it is because I know it is a local thing not huge community or a support center. It is a bunch of local people who love Linux ! I wish I could have made it to the beer meeting. That sounded like a good time. Carl, Yaron, Rob, & Jason have answered my questions in the past very thoroughly along with others in a team effort. Long live the TCLUG ! M= Man looking for an argument A= Arguer (John Cleese) M: I came here for a good argument. A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument. M: An argument isn't just contradiction. A: It can be. M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition. A: No it isn't. M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction. A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position. M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.' A: Yes it is! M: No it isn't! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://mailman.mn-linux.org/pipermail/tclug-list/attachments/20110307/cbfe204a/attachment-0001.html>
