Re: (ASCEND) static ip's
Make sure to set the Framed-Netmask to 255.255.255.255 (it's essentially a
host route). Livingston portmasters will handle a netmask of
255.255.255.0 for users with static IPs, but the MAXen need the real mask.
(I don't know if this has changed in ComOS 3.1.17b-whatever, but we ran
into it back when we got our first 4004). They work fine for us now.
