This was a problem that plagued the P25 quite a few months (year?) ago, and all of the batch that were known to have the problem were recalled. Is it possible that you have one of that batch ? i.e. quite an old serial number ? The cause otherwise is not known, effectively what has happened is that the unit's serial number and unit ID has been deleted or lost from FLASH - something that should never happen even with software changes, option updates, flash downloads - never. I would highly recommend that we get the unit RMA'd so that Ascend can attempt to diagnose the cause of the failure.
