I can reproduce this bug, with on of our Max 4004's running 4.6Bp26. Its a pain in the butt too, have to dial in a couple times to get a valid IP. My box ( Linux, also Win95 ) can dial in and assume any IP I configure my unit to ( normally 192.197.100.1 for my home LAN ). In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.......
