(ASCEND) Number of active sessions *Question*

Hi:
We are in the need of a command that shows the number of active sessions or
users in a MAX 4000, like the "finger" command in other boxes (like CISCOs).

We have developed a tool that asks our servers each 5 minutes about the
amount of active sessions and performs statistics with the results. I know
that telnetting the MAX and performing "show users" you can get such a info
but we need an "external" command.
 
I knok that something could be done using SNMP "GET" command, but that is a
little harder for me and I really don't know exacltly the MIB to accomplish
that.

Could someone send some suggestions or examples to help us???
They will be very appreciated.
