Last week we (finally) configured our ISDN connection between my pipeline and a Max. After some configuration troubles, we finally got it working fine. Until today, but I'm at a loss why. I'm calling to our Max, which validates via CHAP and calls me back: May 26 21:38:27 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, Outgoing Call, xxxxxxx May 26 21:38:28 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, line 1, channel 2, Call Connected, MBID 002 May 26 21:38:28 5Q:egwene ASCEND: call 2 OR slot 2 port 1 64K xxxxxx May 26 21:38:28 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, LAN session up, cit May 26 21:38:28 5Q:egwene ASCEND: call 2 CL 0K May 26 21:38:28 4Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, line 1, channel 2, Call Disconnected May 26 21:38:28 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, Call Terminated May 26 21:38:28 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 0 port 0, LAN session down, cit And of course, I'm awaiting that call, which arrives promptly. I'm also using CHAP: May 26 21:38:44 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 0 port 0, line 1, channel 1, Incoming Call, xxxxxxxxxx May 26 21:38:44 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, Assigned to port, xxxxxxxxx May 26 21:38:44 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, line 1, channel 1, Call Connected, xxxxxxxxx May 26 21:38:44 5Q:egwene ASCEND: call 3 AN slot 2 port 1 64K xxxxxxxxxx May 26 21:38:45 6Q:egwene ASCEND: slot 2 port 1, LAN session up, cit LAN session up, so I'm supposed to be in business, right? Wrong. When I ping the Max at the other end of the connection, I get total package loss. Those systems simply don't see each other. However, earlier today it did work flawlessly - I didn't change the configuration though! Any suggestions how to find the cause of "sometimes it works, usually not" behavior? I'm running 5.0A+, the Max runs 4.6c (or something like that).
