Re: (ASCEND) BIG problem

Jason, I started this whole thread.

Just to let you know.  I caught my MAX 4004 this morning at roughly 10:30
going into it's pre-crash fit.  Upon realizing the impending doom, I
immediately powered off the machine.  After about 30 seconds or so I did a
cold restart.  Since it came back on line after the restart, it has not
crashed.  (Knock on simulated wood-grain particle board laminate)

We will see.  I spoke to a tech at Ascend and he just suggested upgrading to
5.0Ap27.  I think we will try that tomorrow.  Yeaaa, Raahhhh!!!!!  Fun, Fun!

I have yet to hear back from ascend on what a Index 8 error is.
I do know that a #2 is usually a memory leak. If you want to be
a little proactive and try to catch the box before it's spiraling
death. You can do a "pools" on the box and you will be able to
see the memory leak away, open each one of the slots and do the pools
and this should get you going in the right direction.
