Too many things can cause that, but since they're side-by-side as you say, seems like it shouldn't happen. Do you have LQM enabled on the 4048? Might want to try that. Are they using 'Doze 95? There's a bug in it (MTU problem). Upgrading to DUN 1.2 might fix it. There's also a convoluted registry change procedure to fix it. You can find that by searching the web.
