We currently use PCAnywhere(v 7.5) for remote control access to our NT boxes and I have noticed some interesting behavior of late. This was first reported to me by some associates about 6 months ago but I have not had time to actually test it until today. SETUP: I have a Pipeline 130(5.1A) connected over a 128K frac T to a MAX 2000(5.0ap11). The MAX is then connected to our Headquarters via a PP T1. PROBLEM: The problem arises when a user ends a PCAnywhere session routed via Ascend products. Upon disconnect of the session it drops all traffic across the WAN for about 5 minutes. Not just the Frac T to the Pipeline, but everything. My Pipe130 still shows "LAN Session Up" however it is severly mistaken. I first saw this problem on a Pipe 50(4.6C) routing over a BRI, but I now see that it affects Pipelines and MAXen equally. I have not had a chance to try it on my MAX 4000 but will as soon as I can. Has anyone else seen or heard of this problem? Are there any solutions? Kevin, any ideas? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.eds ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Follow-Ups:

Re: (ASCEND) PCAnywhere Bug

From: Michiel Boland <boland@diva.nl>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) NFAS

Next by Date: RE: (ASCEND) Call Logging....

Prev by thread: (ASCEND) Radius Authentation - mSQL

Next by thread: Re: (ASCEND) PCAnywhere Bug

Index(es):

Main

Thread
