Aside from a few problems with one end freezing up, which upgrading one end to 5.0Ap20 seems to have helped, this has worked for us. We'll be upgrading the other end to 5.0Ap20 soon. Recently, we've noticed that we're unable to bring up more than 2, sometimes, 3 channels at a time. Even with 100% ALU and CLU, no more channels come up. The two channels that are up are on different bris, so I don't think any of the bris are down. The error reported when the remote end tried to bring up additional channels is "cause code 050". We tried increasing Min channels/base channels to 3 and it remained at 2 channels. I left it like that overnight, and it had come up to 3 channels by this morning, but now its back down to 2. Here's the syslog: Oct 21 09:04:17 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 9 port 3, Outgoing Call, 9894xxxx <- UCD pilot number Oct 21 09:04:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: call 102 CL 0K c=2 p=2 Oct 21 09:04:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 0 port 0, line 2, channel 0, No Connection, Cause code 050 Oct 21 09:04:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 9 port 3, Call Terminated Oct 21 09:13:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 9 port 3, Outgoing Call, 9894xxxx Oct 21 09:13:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: call 103 CL 0K c=2 p=2 Oct 21 09:13:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 0 port 0, line 2, channel 0, No Connection, Cause code 050 Oct 21 09:13:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 9 port 3, Call Terminated Oct 21 09:13:18 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 9 port 3, Outgoing Call, 9894xxxx Oct 21 09:13:20 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: call 104 CL 0K c=2 p=2 Oct 21 09:13:20 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 0 port 0, line 2, channel 0, No Connection, Cause code 050 Oct 21 09:13:20 max200-xxxx.gtri.gatech.edu ASCEND: slot 9 port 3, Call Terminated I looked up cause code 050 and it says: "Requested facility not subscribed." What does that mean? Is that a telco problem? We've certainly got free channels to bring up since the two or three that come up are spread across multiple bris. Any advice on what to tell the telco, if it is a telco problem? -- Earl Barfield -- Operations Department / Information Technology Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 Internet: Earl.Barfield@oit.gatech.edu earl@prism.gatech.edu earl@fantasy.gatech.edu earl@oit.gatech.edu ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Prev by Date: Re: (ASCEND) Modem Connection

Next by Date: (ASCEND) Max 4000 MPPP Q

Prev by thread: (ASCEND) Radius Auth Login Rqst.
