Does anyone have a functioning serial hunt group or Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) group for BRIs that support analog and digital callers?? We've got some Max 1800s with BRIs (eight each) and analog modem cards to support analog and digital users. Dialing into the individual lines works fine, but we're having trouble getting the telco to put the BRIs in a functioning hunt group. After a few attempts and failures, the telco is now telling us that it is impossible to have a hunt group that works for both analog and digital users. We can either have one or the other. We also cannot have two pilot numbers (one for analog and one for digital) that point to the same individual bri channels. When they have it configured for digital, analog callers get fast busy. Does anyone have this working? The reason for using bri's over pri's in this application is cost. Here in BellSouth land (Atlanta, GA), we pay more for the cheapest PRI (inbound-only, data-only, allows analog or isdn, just no voice) than we do for 23 bris (total 46 B channels versus 23). -- Earl Barfield -- Operations Department / Information Technology Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 Internet: Earl.Barfield@oit.gatech.edu earl@prism.gatech.edu earl@fantasy.gatech.edu earl@oit.gatech.edu ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Follow-Ups:

Re: (ASCEND) Hunt group on BRIs

From: Matt Holdrege <matt@ascend.com>

Re: (ASCEND) Hunt group on BRIs

From: David Lesher <wb8foz@nrk.com>

Prev by Date: Re: (ASCEND) Max Stacking and Multi-logins

Next by Date: (ASCEND) Have to hit a key for prompt in terminal window?

Next by thread: (ASCEND) What the big ones do

Index(es):

Main

Thread
