As do we. And terminal servers on the console port in remote POPs.
But if they crash, continue to accept calls (or at least answer
them), and don't come back alive again, and their console port
says "{{{ { {{{ {{{" and that's about it, there's not much you
can do except get the line busied out and send someone to power
cycle them. Sigh. May be time for remote power cycling equipment.
I hope when Ascend designed the TNT they had an independent
watchdog timer to take care of probems like this (cf Cisco).
