RE: (ASCEND) Outgoing calls happening w/no callback enabled?

If you have MAXDial Installed and
Ethernet - > Mod Config -> Tserv options -> Modem Dialout = Yes

Users may be able to call out through your PRIs.

Good Luck.

We have a number of PRI's terminating into MAX 6000's. They have
never even been configured for any callback services. Bell Atlantic
insists that $4000 worth of calls are going out on our PRI's. If we
do set up a callback account, then sure enough the outgoing call is
logged to our access logs. But there are *no* instances of an
outgoing call in our logs. Bell Atlantic insists the calls are going
out of our PRI's. Almost all of the numbers being called answer with
a modem. All of the numbers being dialed are local.

This makes me suspect perhaps someone has managed to connect to our
MAX's and then leap elsewhere with an outbound call. Possible?

	Thanks,
