This problem (ISDN connections go Zombie) has bugged us since 6.0.0,
we could reliably get rid of it with a 5.0Ap downgrade. Due to this,
we opended a TR with Ascend and worked with EMEA and Engineering. It
turned out to be a Spyder problem and was fixed in 6.0.9. This is _not_
the same problem reported before with hanging modem connections and
_neither_ the loss of routes reported sometimes on this list. Our
investigations showed that it comes and goes, but very likely happens
to connections which have full load for a sufficiently long time.
I've written a little scotty script that regularly pings all currently
existing connections and reports any zombies. If it's still of any
interest (as noted, current TAOS versions have the bug fixed) mail me.
