Personally I would not touch a P25 anymore even if it existed. It is way
outdated and the p25-PX in particular is ... weird. I have some P25-FX
running in the field (with _extra_ IP routing and compression
daughterboard installed) and hope I will never ever have to handle them
again. For example, they lack the terminal server (telnet interface),
ping, nslookup etc. etc. which would make life and troubleshooting
easier.

Either get a P50 which is nice and cheap nowadays or have a look at
3Com's LANmodem. In contrast to a P50 it offers a 4 port hub and 2
analog ports in addition to IP routing and compression. So you could
compare it to a P85 which is far more expensive.

Servers implemented are DHCP, DNS, http (for browser configuration - hey
ASCEND!) plus all reasonable standards like MPP, BACP, NAT, PAP, CHAP,
CLID, PPTP. If you want you may take a look at

http://www.3com.com/products/dsheets/400396.html

Two caveats:
- you cannot dial in (it's not a bug, it's a feature! for security)
- it will only route IP, not IPX, AppleTalk
- only 10 MAC adresses are supported

More or less connected,

   Wolfgang
