(ASCEND) Max6k Net/E1 Ch 16=Nailed Bug ?

Hi,

we had a Max6k for testing and couldn't get our leased lines (german
D2MS, aka E1 leased line running framed with Timeslots 1-31 available)
operate as they did before with Max2k and Max4k. In all cases, the
_other_ end of the link received inflationary amounts of CRC errors
when the Max6k was transmitting frames. The frames received by the 6k,
however, where perfectly correct. We almost were about to give up when
a hint from our reseller reached us: try to disable timeslot 16. So we
did (Ch 16=Unused), changed the peer to not use timeslot 16 either (it
was a Primus TA with Pipe130/V.35) - and whoopa, the line was clear and
transferred data (at 1920kbps instead of 1984, but besides from that,
everything was Ok). So my questions:

* Anyone else using Net/E1 interfaces for leased lines ? Including Ch 16 ?

* May there be a bug with Ch 16=Nailed which simply nobody before us
  recognized ?

I'm about to write a TR on this, but if someone else has one open already
I'll attach to it ;)

Just to clarify again: Ch 16=Nailed works flawless with both Max2k and
Max4k. It is not the line or setup which makes problems, it's the 6k
only. Actually "the line" is a crossover E1 cable ;)

TIA,
Andre.
