Hi,

Here at the Open University, UK, the Ascend products we use include a couple
of Pipeline 50's. Recently we've been offered an old Pipeline 50HX free of
charge (saved from the scrapheap). The Pipeline 50HX is a single user version
of the Pipeline 50. As the FAQ at www.nealis.net says, it is software-limited
to allow only one ethernet device to communicate with it or the wide area
network at any time (through filtering of the ethernet hardware address);
thus, it's intended for the individual user. It will talk only to the FIRST
MAC address it hears from on the local ethernet.

I need to be able to do NAT sessions from small LANs (maybe 6-10 machines)
using our Pipelines and would like to make use of this Pipeline (it was free
after all) and so I was wondering:-

a) Is it possible to upgrade/enable the P50HX to full multi-user capability?
b) If so is this easy/cheap/free (it is an *OLD* product!)

Thanks in advance,

Mark
