(ASCEND) Max 4000 stacking

Hi,

I'm trying to set up Max 4000 stacking option so as to provide ISDN (MPP)
services to my subscribers.

>From the max 4000 I can only configure MOD CONF -> ETHER -> STACKING OPTION
->

stacking -> enable
name -> test
udp port -> 5151

Are these settings enough ???

All my Max 4000 are spread across ~ 20 class c segments.

Is the stacking possible ??

May I know how these Max 4000 from different segments inter-communicated
with each other ???


In fact I've tried, it works !!! 

The user using D-link (I hope I got the name right) is able to dial in and
get two channel up. But despite the fact that he can ping but cannot surf
the internet !!! 

However, using the same configuration if one link is brought down the user
can surf again. Strange !!! 

If the D-link dial into a same Max 4000 - as expected it works !!!

BTW, my patches used are not consistence ranging from 5.0Ap13eik.m40 -
5.0Ap42eik.m40.

Can anyone pls advise me on the configuration.
