I don't use my 4004 for dial-up anymore, only a TNT. However, it seems that
the 6.1.x (for 4000/6000) and 2.1.x (for TNTs) releases are moving in
lockstep, and despite what the release notes say, LQM is broke on the TNT
in 2.1.3. As I don't use LQM on the 4000, I couldn't say. Anyone?

That's exactly what I rwas referring to.
The 4048 is just a 4004 pre-loaded with modems. Same hardware. Buy some
modems and you'll have a 4048.

I'd suggest giving it some time before fooling around with 6.1 to see if
the problem is indeed fixed. Perhaps LQM will get fixed shortly and it'll
be moot.
>P.S. What exactly does TAOS stand for anyway?
Total Access Operating System. Cisco has IOS and Livingston has ComOS, so I
guess Ascend needed something ending with "OS" for the marketing folks...
