Re: (ASCEND) reorder (fast busies)
Hi,
It also has to do with how the PRI's are configured off of the switch.
Make sure that if you're set for NI2, they're set for NI2. If you're set
for AT&T, make sure they're using a 5E set for "custom". You need to be
able to tell them exactly what signal you are sending to indicate that you
want these trunks out of service (a call to your Ascend rep should get the
answer), and their switch needs to be able to interpret this correctly.
If they don't speak the same language, you need to either tell the telco
what you're sending so they can adjust (you may need to insist that this
gets done usually through managenment since most switch techs I've
encountered only know how to copy the one configuration they know onto
other ports), or you'll need to submit a feature request to talk to a
particular type of switch. In either case, the first step is to find out
what equipment your telco is using, what protocols it supports, and how
it's configured.
