FW: (ASCEND) DHCP and WinNT 4.0 Workstation

Has anyone tried to run a BOOTP agent on the Pipeline?

I haven't. Just seeing if anyone else has tried.

Subject: (ASCEND) DHCP and WinNT 4.0 Workstation

We have a customer who has 6.0.0 code on a P50/75. They have DHCP Spoofing
enabled and the PNP
feature is also enabled. The users work at the office with laptops that they
carry to and from
their home. The users at the office get an IP address froman NT server 4.0
using DHCP. When they
take their laptops home, they use the Pipeline to give them an IP Address
via DHCP. However,
because the NT 4.0 Workstation has an IP address, the Pipeline cannot assign
it a new address.
the only way to make it work so far (unless someone else can help me here
please) is to run a
script that does n IPCONFIG /RELEASE ALL, then an IPCONFIG /RENEW ALL to
clear the NT
workstation's IP address and allow the Pipeline to assign the IP address.
This does work ok
with Win95 though. Any pointers in a Pipeline code that may fix this?

Thanks!

Lou
