(ASCEND) Recommended stable code?
This is my second post and I desperately need some help. We've just put
our Max 4048 into production and I'm having reboot problems (this Ascend
was suppose to be our "cure-all" for our crappy 3com RAS). I am running
5.0ap48 (tk.m40) and have two PRI's on this box. I'm not running OSPF and
I'm also not running Stacking. I am routing IP and IPX and have turned off
bridging and Appletalk. I have both analog and digital calls coming in.
Right now v.90 is not a priority. I've seen alot of threads about the
horrors on 6.x and opted to stay with 5.0ap48. Now I'm not sure what to
do. The first rebooting problem (Index 8) I have narrowed down to be a
problem with the Ascend losing communication with our SecurID
(authentication) server when someone tries to authenticate. If the Ascend
cannot contact our SecurID server it reboot with an FE Index 8. I've tried
to work around this (for now) by getting our SecurID server more stable.
Now, the Max is rebooting with an FE Index 29. I have a call into Ascend
and am on hold right now. I know they're answer will be to upgrade. What
code is recommended?
