Re: (ASCEND) Problem with Hayes Accura modem



Just make sure this modem has K56Flex, and NOT 56KPlus - a former protocol
by Lucent, that it's NOT fully compatible with K56Flex.
In fact, I have a MAX4000, and had a hard time with some Lucent modems,
until I figured out this protocol issue.
Try to set S38=0 as init string. This will force V.34. I bet i'll connect.
Then, try to find the driver & firmware update for this modem, to use
K56Flex. It worked to me.
