(ASCEND) Problems on 7.0b0?

Hi,

Has anyone tried loading 7.0b0 on the Max6000 yet?

I've just tried loading up ebixk.m60 7.0b0 onto one of my Max6000s -
now, at the boot I get:

MAX6000 Boot PROM 1.3
Trying main onboard flash load...
get gzipped load...
 Operation fault at: b0ffe970
Fault record is on stack at b0000410:
 fdata : 00000000 00000000 00000000
 fsubtype 01: fflags : 00

...this just cycles, over and over.

I'm not getting a chance to Xmodem a replacement image over either.

So it looks like there was some sort of CRC or similar problem, which
went undetected.

The tloadcode didn't fail, and there were no warnings.

Anyone else had problems?

Personally, I think we are back to the same problem which was seen
with 6.1b2 - i.e. downloading these images over a web browser isn't
good, because you seem to get ASCII or Binary transfers seemingly
dependant on which type of browser you are using (I think we agreed
that Internet Exploder was the one to use last time), the direction
of the wind and the current aspect of the moon :-).

So, I downloaded these with Internet Explorer, and it killed one of
my shiny new 6000's. I've only had them a week!

It would be much more preferable to have these on ftp, so that we can
actually select binary mode when we download the images!

Kevin, any chance of this happening?

Finally, anyone know of anyway to get out of this, or is it going to
be an RMA job?

Thanks,
Mike
