Re: (ASCEND) Need Upgrade Recommendation

I say stay away, but that's just one opinion. From a few hours after I
made the switch until I backed down to the 6.0 tree, I had nothing but
disconnection problems ranging from people who were connected for a
second or two to people who could stay on for a 10-20 mins. There were
also the customers who had no problems at all, until about 2 days after
the code was running, and the MAXen started freaking out. Fatal errors
which are being anylizyed by TAC, MAXen that would refuse telnet session
to even let me in to figure out what was going on, Dropping everyone, even
those who could maintain connections for hours right after the Up-grade,
etc...... Unless you like to miss a lot of sleep, I'd steer clear, or
try the 7.0 Beta. At least it was supposed to have fixed the "refusing
telnet" bug.
