Not True.  A dual serial port card (with 16650 UARTS) can be had at Best
Buy for about $30 or so.  Supports speeds up to 460800 bps.  (Remember
it's a 16650, not a 16550).  Don't know why they don't put these in PCs
now, I can't imagine they cost that much more than a '550.

Nevertheless I have one installed in my P-90 and have run it at speeds
higher than 115200 just to see what it could handle.  Worked like a champ,
and it would allow you to select just about any IRQ or port address you
wanted.
