Yeah, but it took Ascend a while to get it into that flawless shape ;)
There were versions which answered any data call, not just on the MSN
configured, and there were other strange things. But it became really
well in the last versions and is completely plug and play on the typical
telco BRI. PBX internal BRIs milage may vary, but that is actually a PBX
problem and not Ascends (very common PBXs have a strict MSN->B channel
mapping and the self-call test in the termserv fails on them - you can
easily upset the PBX techs when telling them that they don't really do
ETSI NET3 but just a hacky subset of DSS1 that _ought_ to work _usually_
with a _single_ _phone_ on the BRI).

One thing that _really_ should be there is proper interpretation of
NET3 AOCE/AOCD charging information and dumping that in the syslog
together with other connection info. On _any_ Ascend box, not just
E1/NET5 Maxes and not only in the event MIB.
