(ASCEND) Problem with rogue packets

Hi all,

I have two Ascend P75's at different sites and I can successfully make
connections between both routers from either end and pass normal IP
traffic.

However, there appears to be a rogue packet being sent between both
routers approx once per second which is keeping the link open even when
there is no network traffic going down the line.

Displaying the data using the P75's wan trace facility shows :

XMIT-2:(task: 1EF3D0, time: 2557.01) 8 octets @ 253114
  [0000]: FF 03 00 3D C0 00 00 06
RECV-2:(task: 230690, time: 2558.08) 8 octets @ 24EDE0
  [0000]: FF 03 00 3D C0 00 00 07
XMIT-2:(task: 239790, time: 2559.03) 8 octets @ 253114
  [0000]: FF 03 00 3D C0 00 00 07
RECV-2:(task: 1EF3D0, time: 2560.08) 8 octets @ 24F3FC
  [0000]: FF 03 00 3D C0 00 00 08
XMIT-2:(task: 239790, time: 2561.03) 8 octets @ 253114
  [0000]: FF 03 00 3D C0 00 00 08

etc...

Can someone please suggest what parameter may be causing this so I can
turn it off.

Many thanks,

Jon.
