(ASCEND) Pipeline 130, ver 6.0.2 software and SAF

Ever since upgrading to 6.0.2, our router has been pretty reliable - no
disconnects,
lockups, etc.  But now I need to load a new firewall.  I cannot get a
"tftp response"
from the unit using SAM, after having entered telnet and full access
passwords just
fine.  With prior releases, I had to at most delete the current firewall
from the 
connection profile and reboot.  I do not have any IP filters setup, and
turning remote
management on or off in Sys Config makes no difference.
I have tried loading this from the WAN side and from the Ethernet side.
